Teresa Lynne (known to her friends as Terri) would be what most people would describe as being a "jack of all trades"...professionally speaking. Not only does she have both a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and an Associates Degree for Medical Billing and Coding, she has worked extensively in many different industries, including Finance, Medical, Law Enforcement , Real Estate...even in the Transportation Industry as a long-haul truck driver!
Terri is a very proud, honorably discharged U.S. Veteran of not just one...but THREE different branches of the military...Navy (1981-1985), TN National Guard (2000-2004), and the Army Reserves (2004-2012).
Her most enjoyable profession...the one she once called her "true destination and calling", was being a Paramedic. After only six years, an accident in 2006 changed the course, and direction, in her life once again. "Not a single day goes by that I don't miss it."
Following the accident, Terri was determined not to live the remainder of her life confined to a wheelchair...and nothing was going to get in her way! After undergoing three long years of weekly physical and occupational therapy at the Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, she left the chair behind her and has learned a lot from the experience. "I've always been a compassionate, dedicated, 'people person'...I just have to find something else now to be able to stay true to who I am...a person who wants nothing more out of life than to help others."
In 2014, she stumbled across the 'something else' she'd been looking for. Terri was in need of a notary public that would be able to come to her home to notarize the Power of Attorneys needed in order to get more help for her elderly, homebound parents. "I was fascinated, and thrilled, that there was even such a thing as a 'mobile notary'. I had a notary commission in the late '80's while working as a closing agent for a local title company....but I don't think the mobile ones even existed back then. Maybe THIS was what I could do that would still allow me the opportunity, not only to help here financially at home, but be able to get out into the community and do something of value for others!" She ordered a sign for her lawn, applied for a commission, purchased the needed notary essentials...and set out on the road to learn anything (and everything) about this growing, fascinating, and ever-expanding, profession.
After her beloved father passed away in November 2016, Terri knew the time was right to take her Mobile Notary Service to the next level. Using proceeds from a small inheritance, she has thrown all her knowledge, skills and training...not only from the Notary/Signing world but also from ALL the various industries she has worked...into making Newton Notary Service a CUSTOMER FIRST company.
Terri has been married to her husband, Garry, for 2 1/2years. She has one daughter (Mary, 32) who resides in Atlanta ,and she has adopted her special needs grandson (Anthony, 12), whom she has raised since he was 2 weeks old. She enjoys camping, cross stitching, playing her 5 string banjo, cooking, and volunteering for several animal rescue services. Terri is also an Ordained Minister, affiliated with the Universal Life Church, Christian Harvest Church, and the United National Church, registered to perform wedding ceremonies and vow-renewal services in all 50 states.
